Take a Break South Coast is committed to protecting your privacy and security of any personal information you provide in the course of doing business with us. Personal information collected from individuals includes name, address, phone number, email adress and credit card details.

Information we collect

Take a Break South Coast will collect information such as your name, address, phone number, and credit card details from you when you make a booking and when you make an enquiry.

How we use your Information

Take a Break South Coast collects this information for the purpose of providing an accommodation service. We will use your information to correspond with you, and to finalise the payment of a booking.

Who we share your Information with

Take a Break South Coast will not disclose your information to other parties except in the following instances:

Property Owners In some instances there will be a need to pass on your details such as name, contact phone number and email address to the owner of the property you have booked. This will allow them to confirm your booking and to advise of any details you will need to know about.

Legal Obligations In some cases we may be required by law to disclose information provided to us by persons whose activities could be unlawful or fraudulent.

How you can control and access your information

You have the right to control and request access to your personal information. You can alter information held by us by contacting Take a Break South Coast or if you have any questions regarding information held by Take a Break South Coast, please contact us.

Processing Fee

All bookings attract a non-refundable processing fee of $25.00 which is paid at the time of booking.

Holiday Accommodation Standard Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully and refer to Take A Break South Coast for further information:

1. There is a minimum of 2 nights stay unless stated otherwise.
2. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay on long weekends.
3. All rents are to be paid prior to occupancy.
4. The number of occupants must not exceed the number stated in the agreement.
5. Check in is strictly 2.30pm. (Keys will not be available before unless special arrangements have been made prior).
6. Check out is strictly 9.30am.
7. Lost keys are to be reported to our office immediately. A locksmith’s call out fee will be charged.
8. The property is rented for holiday purposes only, for the period stated in the Holiday Letting Agreement and on the receipt.
9. The booking deposit is 50% of the full booking amount. Once deposit is received the booking is confirmed.
10.Full payment must be made at least 4 weeks prior to your arrival.
11.In the event of a cancellation by the tenant. If the booking is cancelled prior to two months of the date of arrival, a cancellation fee of $30.00 will be charged. If the booking is cancelled within two months of arrival, the full amount will be forgone if another tenant is not found to occupy the property for the time which was originally booked. If we do find another tenant, then 15% of the rent will be charged as a cancellation fee.
12.Damage Security Bond. As a tenant you are responsible for any breakages or damages that occur while you are staying at the property. The guest accepts responsibility for and agrees to indemnify the owner against any loss or damage to the premises or contents during the guest’s occupancy. The guest must report any damages, breakages or lost items including keys immediately to Take a Break South Coast. The guest must provide an Indemnity Bond to complete the booking and the owner is authorised to spend up to $300.00 from the bond to cover damage or loss caused to the premises or contents during the guest’s stay. The bond can be provided by credit card, cash or bank cleared cheque/money order. All cash, cheque money/order bond payments will be refunded in full by trust account cheque within 5 (five) days on the condition that there was no claim. The property is inspected after you vacate the premises. All occupants will be advised accordingly of any claim being made on their security bond.
13.Pets are not permitted. (Unless otherwise stated in the agreement)
14.Excess garbage must be taken away when you depart the property. If there is excess garbage left at the property after your departure, a $50.00 rubbish removal fee will be charged.
15.The property is to be left in a clean and tidy state. Excess cleaning will be charged at a rate of $40.00 per hour.
16.No person on the property will be guilty of conduct which is a nuisance to or interrupts the quiet enjoyment of adjoining or neighbouring properties. Excess noise is not permitted after 10pm.
17.No responsibility is taken for occupant’s personal items or valuables left at the property.
18.Every precaution has been taken to establish the accuracy of the information given to you about the property when you make a booking, but does not constitute any representation by the owner or agent.
19.Your booking is made in good faith by Take A Break South Coast, however it may be subject to change or cancellation by the owner of the property prior to the commencement of the booking. We cannot accept responsibility for actions taken by the owner of the property outside of our control. Every reasonable endeavour will be made to offer alternative accommodation should a change or cancellation occur.
20.In the event the property is being offered for sale, the occupier agrees to allow the owner or his agent to inspect the property with prospective purchasers during reasonable hours by appointment.
21.The tenant agrees to allow the agent or his nominee to enter the premises to arrange any necessary repairs.
22.The property is completely self-contained however, the tenant is required to provide their own bed linen, towels and face washers. (Unless otherwise stated in the agreement)
23.All properties are non smoking inside the premises.
